cottony soft natural yeast bread

This must be one of the most delicious breads I have ever eaten. And I didnt buy it from a high end bakery, I bought it from a old provision shop off Commonwealth. I have a feeling this is how my whipping cream bread should taste like. It has the familiar greasy touch due to the large amount of whipping cream used. I take back my words, I'm going to give this whipping cream bread a try again.

In case you are wondering, this wonderful bread only cost me $1.20, which is a steal considering you often pay more at some bakeries.

After reading this, I went on to buy the red bean, blueberry, cream and chocolate. It is indeed very soft.

Hi ple!

I am looking for this bread! Care to share where did you all buy it from? i tried the red bean one, at the 7-11 @ vistapoint.. other than that, i haven't been able to find this bread..

Its only available at those traditional provision shops. I bought mine from the ones near Queenstown mrt and Tanglin Halt market. I heard Ang Mo sells them too but they are at AMK.

I managed to find it at this provision shop near my place! Hmm.. but the strawberry and blueberry ones abit disappointing.. still prefer the red bean one..

The shop is at Toa Payoh Lor 7 =) i asked the shop owner and he say they replenish every 2-3 days! That day, they have pumpkin, strawberry, blueberry, cream, chocolate, maple syrup and ungrounded red bean.. the strawberry, cream and pumpkin is their limited monthly flavours.. blueberry is nicer than strawberry i think =)

Try Japanese stores or asian stores. They usually carry them. This is a Japanese Product. If you guys are in Hawaii... it's everywhere! Look for ABC stores. They'll have different flavors like Green Tea. My personal fave is the Hokkaido Cream.
